Well, after six months of dealing with gnarly stomach pain, nausea, frequent visits to my primary care doc/ follow ups with GI specialist, trying every over the counter antacid/acid reducer and even being scoped I am still having these issues. I am not getting much nausea anymore like I was this summer which I'm EXTREMELY thankful for (Imagine trying to repair and clean pools by yourself all summer in 100+ degree heat with the most intense nausea you've ever felt in your life), but I still get the intense pain right in the center of my stomach that feels like someone punched me in abdomen 100 times while I was asleep. It's as if I can almost feel where the lining of my stomach is irritated and inflamed and its so fucking gnarly on some days.

I will also note that the pain is happening less and less which my GI specialist noted was a very good sign. This summer I would only have 1-2 days that I felt decent, now it feels like it's every two weeks it starts acting up. Anyways, I guess I am just rambling on, just thought I would update this thread since it's been almost 3 months.

It was bad enough today that I was actually happy my plans to go to the track got cancelled. Anyone who knows me knows I ALWAYS want to rideSad Just makes me wonder if it will someday go away completely or if this is my life now. I hope not.

My GI specialist has had me on Lansoprozle for probably 2-3 months and I honestly can't tell if it's working or not. Should I head back to PC doctor and have them send me to a different specialist or just deal with what I've got for the time being? I also went to an allergist for the first time which was more or less a total waste. They had me do a ton of blood work and all they told me was to stay away from soy beans.

I had this issue after a bad reaction to an antibiotic tore me up. Went through about 4-5 months of extreme weight loss and feeling like I had someone stabbing me in the stomach all day long.

Tried all the meds. Had a colonoscopy and endoscopy at age 25.. not fun. Very expensive.

What helped me the most was radically changing my diet, meditating, and learning how to control my stress levels.

Sounds like you are getting better. I would suggest reading the book "Wired to Eat" by Robb Wolf. Also check out the Ben Greenfield Fitness website and podcast.

Yeah man I’m 24 and had an endoscopy and colonoscopy, the prep was horrible. $7000 for that procedure and I feel like I got absolutely nothing out of it. Total waste of time. Four months later and I’m still in excruciating pain every other week. Glad I have good insurance. How exactly did you change your diet? What stuff did you cut out?
