This one is set up for the metal oriented guys that want a Strat style. Maple neck with jumbo frets, basswood body and high output DiMarzio hum canceling pickups. My Son's idea. There are only a few shredders who play this style guitar. Malmsteen is one.

Sorry for the shitty pics. It deserves a better camera. Or maybe a better photog.

I think it looks great. I always found it interesting that all the shredders use wide flat necks except one, Yngwie! Nothing wrong with a 9.5 radius.

I recently bought this RG 450M. The wide flat neck is OK but the tone is glorious.

Mine are 12" R. Partly because I sometimes use the Les Paul Custom square inlays and the edges end up almost paper thin at 9 1/2. Also the tunomatic bridges are all 12"R and the strat style tremelos can be adjusted to whatever you want so I just stuck with 12.

The selector switch on the blue one is not in a good spot so that body is scrap. Have to start over. Neck is good though.
The blue one is different though because you can see the wood grain through the color. The red one is solid. Also the blue one has traditional single coil pickups and medium frets so it sounds like a regular strat. It plays great and sounds great but...it's headed for the trash. The new one is in progress. I will try get some better pics when it's done.
