Curious if anyone here has any experience skiing in Quebec? Live in Syracuse NY so Mt Tremblant and also Mount Blanc is within a days drive from me. Any input on either mountains experience appreciated!

I hit Tremblant last Friday. Granted, my skiing experience is somewhat limited, but I loved this place! I was going solo, but ran into one their ski info guys. His job is to basically ski with people all day. So I trailed that dude for about 6 hours straight and was completely shot. haha. Seriously though, the place seemed to have something for skiers of all levels. I intend to go back and take my kids. Well worth it, IMO.

I’ve been snowboarding since 86’. Also a skier, but haven’t been on ski’s much since they went parabolic. Still have all my boards. My collection grows and shrinks, but I’ve got some cool og boards that are going on the wall at some point.

35 years riding these tow ropes with Lake Michigan in the backdrop. Still ride here during the week Nights with my kids. If you haven’t ridden tow rope hills, it’ll wear ya out. A few hours is equivalent to a full day at a big mountain. Top to bottom, no un strapping, no rest..LOVE IT. People laugh, but riding these ropes RULE. We head to Boyne mountain most weekends, and a couple trips out to Utah or Bigsky a year. Heading to Jackson Hole this month for first time and STOKED.

Yep, 1710! Only board I didn’t keep that I want is a good condition black with green Gnu Antigravity.. I learned to lay trenches on that tank. I have a few other boards. One of my all time favorite’s besides the CK’s is a Lamar Jimi Scott with the roach’s that I cut the tip/tail off in the late 90’s when jib boards were the thing lol.. if I could go back at slap the grinder out of my 16yo hands..ugh

I've been to Colorado (Breck, Winter Park, Keystone) Utah (Park City/Canyons), and Montana (Whitefish). My favorite of the three has got to be Park City. I've skied Park City proper, as well as Canyons. I actually like the skiing over on the Canyons side better than from downtown Park City. The terrain seems to be more diverse, and it's usually not as crowded. If you're staying in the town of Park City, you can ski over and take the gondola over to Canyons.

I've had varying experience in Colorado. Of the three places listed, I probably like skiing Keystone more so than the other two. Breckenridge is like Disney for skiing, I love the vibe of the town, but the slopes can be a clusterf*ck, even though they have a ton of acreage.

Winter Park was okay, but we went during the spring toward the end of the season and it was in the 60's. And we got zero snow while we were there. It snowed 8" the night we left. Such is spring ski season.

Keystone was cool because it's a little more ski-centric, and we had good weather when we were there, so that means a lot. Not much to do in the immediate area for non-skiers, though.

I'm not going to be able to take my annual ski trip this year and it's killing me. Have fun, I'm jealous!

Utah, Montana and Tahoe have all been good to me. My opinion is skewed by conditions, so the places I loved the most have all had deep days.

I’d say my overall favorite is Bigsky. We had a full week of amazing conditions and the tram takes let’s you take advantage of sooo much great snow.

Kirkwood is my next on the list. I was there for a Easter week, and it was rainy and horrible all week, and the last day it dumped 4ft over night to bluebird All day and I had the best day of my life. It’s so steep, you could just point it straight, and slowly move over each run for fresh tracks all day. So lucked out that day.

Last, and the last time is Ski’d out west (the above are on a snowboard which during deep days is another level to skiing). We had a full week of a foot or more every night, and Alta was something I never could have imagined. That place was magical. It was like being on another planet. Really enjoyed Snowbasin and Deer Valley that week too. The only bummer was I didn’t have the legs. Went there under trained and after a few runs in deep pow, I was struggling.

I loved Colorado as a kid, but having been to all the above as an adult, I have no interest in going back to Colorado to battle the lines. I had a great day at Snowmass and Ajax 20 years ago with family, but I’ve been priced out of that place.

Jackson Hole and Alaska are the only two left on my list. I really want to get to AK before I get too old to point it straight. Hoping for Good snow in Jackson Hole in a few weeks.

I saved these 3 from back in the day. Never Summer Premier 165, Salomon Definition 165 and a Never Summer Decade limited edition 164. Each of these babies have well over 200 days of riding on them,. the black board has rode snow on 3 different continents.

Due to a bad ankle, I've switched back to skiing in the last few years, I'm on day 23 so far this season. I have a 2 ski quiver this year, Atomic Bent Chelter 120's in 192cm, and Head Core 99's in 189. Both are amazing, the Bent Chelter's are a Powder weapon, love them.

^^^that's a beauty. It hurt more to watch all you bastards milk that Patterson built park and take photos, than it did when I broke my leg riding in it.

Well, since you guys are posting up your collections, I'll share this one. I wish that I had saved more of my boards, but I broke most of them and they became a burden to keep.

This is the best board I've ever ridden. I bet it has over 200 days on it. This is a prototype Burton Uninc 160 from 2008 that I got when I worked for Burton. We would get our hands on all kinds of cool stuff like this. This was the start of the EST mounting system and is still my favourite type of board to ride.

Nice! One of my favorite bindings (they’re on my Joystick in pic above) were the white and pink Uninc EST’s. I always wanted the Channel with the pigs on the bottom, but I’d read about the upcoming V channel rocker coming out so I wanted to wait. Did the rocker thing for a couple years, but I never could like it as much as a regular camber board. If we had more pow days though.. Those rocker boards are so fun when it’s deep and fresh!

^^ nice. I raced for Many years myself.

Anyone see the pics of the lift lines at Vail on their powder day last week?? Insanity. Lines must've had 500 people in them or more and at $200 for a day pass they might've been lucky to get 3 or 4 runs in.
