Travis Pastrana to Race the 2023 Daytona 500? - NASCAR Cup Series

This is pretty much a one off is my understanding

All the Cup rides are pretty much filled. 
 

And I agree it’s most likely a one shot deal. If he possibly wins it somehow then a door or two might open but that’s a long shot. 
Then again with drafting determining the winner anything is possible.

If I'm not mistaken Travis is full time in the truck series this year. The trucks can be the most entertaining of the three major series to watch at times.

Watching it now, I admit I've had my doubts, but he is proving me wrong. Great ride, too bad about Deegan.

Running 19 now, should be a good finish. 

Been a solid run, he lead a lap too .. still on the lead lap with 2 to go 

is it just me or are they flat out ignoring the Travis in this race ? he is running top 20 and is arguably the most famous personality in the field. All I have heard them say about him is when he was lapped due to his penalty ?!

Just out of curiosity I went on Instagram and searched Nascars top drivers. I could not find one with over a million followers. TP is at 4.7 million

if he can make the finish it is a huge accomplishment for him. It is not easy finishing a restrictor plate race 

This is entertainment..does every race end with crashes?

It’s Daytona.  Anything could happen.  He could still win.  He could be in the next crash.  To his credit, he has driven a smart race so far and stayed out of trouble.  Top 10 would be awesome.

Well the result will show 14th, but he was 9th when it all went west . 

More than impressed.

But what a shambles of a race... its like cricket on wheels , far too long, when all you are doing is waiting to see if they can do a lap at the end without crashing. 

Enjoyed the In Car with Harvick and  Nascar Radio, but i wouldnt pay again. 

Wreck it is.  Still a good job.  

He was right there in the lead group with a view at the front. Had to be cool for him. 

I am humbled and impressed, legend.

Finish has to be green white checkers or they restock and do it again till it happens
